Current Position & Highlights

Holly is currently a Senior Lecturer with the University of Central Florida’s School of Performing Arts, a member of the graduate and undergraduate faculty, and a Women’s & Gender Studies Faculty Affiliate.

Holly develops and instructs face to face, as well as web-based courses and was the first UCF Theatre Faculty member to develop and instruct a completely web-based theatre course, allowing access to national and international students. Holly was also honored as Kendall Hunt Publishing’s Author of the Month for creating UCF Theatre’s first interactive theatre survey textbook.

She successfully completed Peggy MacIntosh’s national SEED program, UCF’s ALLY programs in support of the LGBTQ+ community, along with developing UCF Theatre’s first Queer Theatre course. Holly is a secular safe zone participant, providing service to her professional and surrounding communities. She recently developed and instructed the first theatre survey course for the Florida Prison Education Project. Holly has also worked with the Veterans Legacy Program, writing and directing playscripts, performances (at numerous venues) for students, veterans, community members and K-12 resources. She was among one of the first collaborative groups, chosen by the Provost to reimagine the General Education Program.

Currently engaged in collaboration for the creation of a BA track for Socially Engaged Theatre, as well as the supervision of Graduate Teaching Assistants, chairing and membership of various committees in support of programing, fundraising and community, as well as student engagement. Throughout her career, she has maintained an ongoing relationship with the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, participating and providing numerous training experiences.
